David has been in the building industry for over 45 years and started his company, Aquality Constructions Pty Ltd (now trading as Aquality Building Consultants), in 1979.

Over his extensive career owning and operating the company he has undertaken multi-million dollar developments, high rise office fit-outs, medical facilities, gymnasiums, commercial pools and spas, nursing homes, large scale earthworks, civil projects and upmarket residential developments.

​

For the last 22 years he has worked exclusively as a building consultant.  Clients and projects over this time have included the Defence Housing Authority, Housing Tasmania, Indigenous Business Australia, Tote Tasmania, The Henry Jones Art Hotel, the Public Trustee, the Australian Antarctic Division, Municipal Councils, Inland Fisheries, Engineers, Architects, Lawyers, Builders, Insurance Companies and other Industry Professionals, as well as a large number and broad range of businesses and private consumers.

David has been an active member of several building industry organisations including the Housing Industry Association (HIA), for which he has also served in a number of leadership positions, at State and National levels.

​

David has also been active in contributing to public education on building matters, presenting regularly on ABC Radio from 1999-2009 and providing expert advice for many more radio, television and print articles to this day.
